Finding the Right Fit College
During our last workshop about navigating college without SAT & ACT scores with Katherine O'Brien, MA CCPS, of Celtic College Consultants, and Linda Hollenback, MSEd, CPRW, of Hollenback Consulting, the idea of 'right fit' was a common topic of conversation.
So we decided to host another workshop to give college-bound students & their families insight about how to find the 'right fit' college. We'll talk about everything from academic rigor to geography to social life.

Katherine O'Brien, MA CCPS
Since 2004, I have guided thousands of teens all over the US on their journeys to college. Committed to the three pillars of our College Success Program: premier student preparation, savvy college selection, and abundant funding, we facilitate college success. As Catholics we honor the dignity and gifts of each student, enabling each to create and execute common-sense results-oriented plans to achieve their dreams. My Class of 2015-2020 clients were offered on average, over $240,000 in merit scholarships.
Katherine O'Brien homeschooled her six children from 1998 - 2020 and has guided thousands of teens on their journeys to college since 2004. With an engineering degree from Northwestern and a master's in theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville, she is adept at working with students with varied interests and academic strengths. A Benedictine Oblate since 1990, she seeks to serve the Lord in and through her work with teens and their families.
As a Catholic, I recognize the inherent dignity of each student and work holistically with him or her to create life goals and determine the best path from high school to the achievement of those goals. I work diligently to equip my clients to be successful on campus, armed with the skills they need and the mettle to avoid the common pitfalls which can derail the accomplishment of their goals. For students with faith, I strive to ensure their college selections include institutions where strong supports for their growth in faith are present.
With 18+ years of homeschooling experience, I have worked with numerous homeschooling families. I have also worked extensively with students attending public, private, and charter schools. I have worked with students living abroad as well.
